How rich is rich enough? Is it really necessary for 99 people to lose their homes and their jobs so that 1 corporate executive can have another 10,000,000 dollars? I don't understand. I was once a corporate executive myself. I worked for one of the world's biggest industrial corporations for 7 years and one of the world's biggest banks for 16 years. Then I ran my own business for 15 years, providing services to Fortune 500 companies. They weren't always on the side of the angels, but their top executives were not monstrously venal. For the most part, they tried to do the right thing for all their constituencies - and they knew that meant doing the right thing for their employees, their shareholders, their customers and the larger community. How did we get to this point? And what will it take to fix it? Whatever it takes, it needs to be fixed soon, for all our sakes. Joyce Grantham Walnut Creek, CA 94596
