You (every one of you) is anti- American. Your sense of entitlement, your willinness to sacrifice this country for profits disgusts me. I have already moved my money to a credit union and am in the process of refinancing my mortgage with my credit union. You will have none of my money and i will fight you tooth and nail for control of this country.

I know many people who are unemployed. You guys have more money than you will ever need. The system is based on greed, but you can do something about that. Take a risk - invest in jobs and our society. Let's make this a decent world.

You guys raked in billions of dollars from the taxpayers and we want it back. You are rich enough. Put down the caviar and drive your limos over to the bank you own, and give the taxpayers our money back. Shame on you.

You destroyed our economy, and you're surprised that we got pissed off? Clearly, an IQ test is not required to become a destroyer of lives and planet (CEOoops). We have suffered enough for your greed and foolishness. It's on.

I was in a cell phone store yesterday--about 6 of us. Two in their 20s working at the store, one clearly originally from another country. One in his 40s, the manager. Myself and another woman, retirees. Another customer in his 50s. Within two minutes, we were all talking about the state of the country, a conversation that started when the other woman said, "well, yes, I'd like to buy a cover for my cell phone and if we ever get another COLA adjustment in social security, I'll come back and buy it." We talked tariffs, the banks, etc. I said at one point, "how did we ever let this happen?" And one of the young people said with total disgust, "our GOVERNMENT!!" We were all in agreement, as disparate people as we were--100% in agreement. And YOU are the backer of this "government" that disgusts 82% of us. It IS time for you to pay attention and start working WITH people instead of just for your obscene profits.

Warren Buffet says it the way it is. He pays just over 17% in taxes ...his secretary pays 30% .True patriotism means including all people in our democracy. The tax cuts have made the 1% richer than ever .It is time for the ultra-rich to pay their fair share.

Your actions have threatened my retirement.I retired after working 50 years was never on unemployment, served in the US Army, never been arrested , raised two sons , have paid taxes even in retirement on my Social security and small pensions. I vote , serve on juries , obey the law in short I play and have played by the rules while you have arrogantly abused your power to defraud me and my fellow citizens. I saw my 401 K shrink by 30 percent in 2008 and do not expect it to recover in my lifetime as I am 73 years old and must begin to draw it down for daily living. If I live as long as the actuaries say I may I face the prospect of running out of money. Your actions have emboldened and finance the attack on the safety net of Social Security and medicare that I depend on. If there is a God you will surely burn in hell.

  • It isn't just the money | 0

My husband worked his whole life in law enforcement, working his way from an under $10,000/year officer to Captain and Acting Chief when his boss and co-Captain were blown up by a bomb. He recently retired and we have to live in my dad's apartment because his retirement can't cover us otherwise. (I worked my whole life, have several degrees, but no pension or retirement.)

We live within our means but have no savings. That was paid out when we "sold" our home, and had to give the new buyers all our money to get out. The mortgage on our 800 square foot condo was more than his retirement.

We have no health insurance, like 50 million of our fellow citizens, and know we're one catastrophic illness away from bankruptcy or death.

This is the new Third World Country you and your ilk have created. And as parasites, you will go down with your hosts: us.

  • Two sets of rules | 0

I served in the military, got a degree, worked hard all my life. Every raise or COLA increase for the last 12 years has gone to health insurance cost increases without a correlating increase in quality of care; quite the opposite actually. I have lost two well paying jobs when foreign companies purchased the company I worked for and either shipped the professional jobs out of the country or simply cut pay dramatically. I have watched dozens of friends with the same story as me...the ones you would call "lazy" or "unmotivated." History hasn't been kind to classes of people who are born on third base but act like they hit a triple while more and more people become destitute. You can't fool all of the people, all of the time and the majority of America is starting to turn the corner on exactly who the enemy is. The more desperate that intelligent, motivated people get, the more likely they are to do something radical. Think about it.

Bank America and Chase Manhattan Boards of Directors:

You were rescued by our tax dollars yet as a tax payer trying to lower my interest rates with your banks you continue to deny refinancing at a lower rate.

In addition the increased costs on doing business with your banks continue to rise as your costs go down. Speaking to your employees overseas on the telephone to handle my banking it is clear that you are paying less wages to people overseas, not hiring qualified people within the USA who need jobs to survive while you continue to increase your profits. Your actions are anti-your clients and the welfare of USA citizens.

  • Financial Reform | 0

It is time again, as it was in the 1930's, for financial regulations since it is obvious that
the Banks and Corporate America will not do so on their own. I am retired after a long career in Social Work, an honorable profession as is nursing and teaching, but with little financial gain. Because of the spirals in the financial picture of the last ten years, I have lost ground in my savings, and one of my children lost her job. Wall street and its associates must give up their gains taken off the backs of working people if we are truly to have
a government" by the people and for the people!"
Regulation and fair taxation is the first step.
