It is high time the country is given back to the people who do the work. The time for the injustice of government by corporation, for corporation has reached it self-destructive end. When Joe six pack and Ms. and Mr. Teabaggers get it, the union will be of the outraged. Nothing wrong with people earning a living and having monetary success, but the corporate destruction for profit only has to stop. Patriotism does not involve sending jobs overseas so the one percent can profit. The end may be at hand. kjmiller Kevin 98403

Bankers, Your irresponsible practices and greed caused my home to be foreclosed on. Now you can have back the house that is worth half what I paid. I lost my investment 150K and now you get to lose some too. Worse, I now have to leave my home. Where am I to go? You deserve to lose your home too. But I have a new home for you. Jail. Responsibility of Management as Human beings. | 0
For too long now the 1% has chosen to act out their base desires to accumulate more and more wealth. I'm reminded of a situation where a group of people chose to study Primates in Africa. Initially, the group chose to make food stuffs available close to their encampment. The thought was that it would be easier to study the Primates without going into the wild. They had to stop this practice as the dominate primates, the bullies, would hoard the food and the end result was that the food would spoil before it could be consumed. We are at a point in our economy where the bullies are hoarding so much wealth that the 99% are going to have to change the system. Estel Cooper Winchester, CA 92596

Wall St. becomes exposed, once they double cross the ones who protect them we are fighting two wars against an enemy who hates capitalism, meanwhile on the homefront our capitalist are sending millions of jobs overseas., creating this environment of unrest. Why would anyone fight for this system? The wealthy sure don't sacrifice their life. Their kids never bleed in any of our wars. and they have the most to lose, For them freedom is free. lets continue? unfair trade agreements that cost more jobs, let wall st derivative scandals kill our economy, lets continue sending aid and military overseas, Let global corporationsns continue to financially dominate our election process by waving a blue and red candidate in front of us and waiting for us to pick either one. America is gone? why would anyone put on a uniform and fight for this system? This wealthy class has us so desperate for jobs that we are going to allow the next corporate bought president & congress to repeal the minimum wage laws and end environmental protections in order for them to reinvest in our county. So in order for us to have the jobs we need we have to lower our standard of living and let corporations be able to pollute our land, air & water supply. Bring back Dwight Eisenhower...please...... After 30 years teaching high school and 25 years of service in the US Army/US Army Reserve I'm retired. Fourteen years ago my wife passed away. My son has struggled since his Mom passed away and now is going to college so he can support himself. Half of my $4000 a month pension and Social Security benefit goes to support him. I'm not asking for help just do what you can to make jobs possible when students finish school. Robert Moeller 12801-2243

To Whom it May Concern (and you should truly be concerned), I believe that members of a community should act in the interests of themselves and their communities. I believe you have forgotten the latter. While you wallow in excess, the majority of your community is suffering. I will put this in a nutshell. First in 2003, the Boardroom at Aetna decided that I had lived too long. I had just survived cancer 2x and they sent me a letter telling me that I was no longer delivering a profit even though I was paying $70000.00 a year in premiums; $5000.00 deductibles and then 20% of everything; even though I did that, they wanted more. They wanted me to pay over $15000.00 because that is the only way they could make any money on me. They sent me a letter stating that my premium was going to be $1000.00 a month or else. What could I do????????????? I had to drop it. The board room sent me a sound bite of laughter. You bastards. You should all hang. In 2005 I was struck with cancer in both kidneys. I HAD NO INSURANCE NONE ZIP ZERO. But you guys did not win. I am still here. People helped me. Regular normal family members helped me to raise the nearly $100,000.00 necessary for 2 surgeries. And to those guys in the boardrooms of the banks. Think you are cute do you? Tell me in 2005 that my house is valued at over $300,000.00 and then tell me that it will probably go to $400,000.00 and if I wanted to borrow over 100% of my value I could do that too!!!!!! And we believed them. In those days we believed them. You know what it was??? It was something called TRUST. Yes, we made the mistake of trusting the banks. So we refinanced at a normal rate took a normal amount and thanked them but lo and behold. We find out 7 years later that they never assigned our mortgage to the bank we were paying for 5 years. Who has my money please. And all that equity I had. Well thats gone too. The way I see it someone owes me a lot of money. They knew I had no equity but they told me I did. So they stole $100,000.00 there. They made me pay which I did diligently for years, 28 years I paid for this house and then for those last years from 2005 to 2009 I was paying someone who laughed and laughed so someone has a good $85000.00 of mine. So lets see thats $100,000.00 plus $85,000.00 and lets throw into the mix; the stress; the aggrevation of going to court; you bastards threatening with a foreclosure action which you lied about in that and then your attorneys ran and withdrew without prejudice. Think you're smart???? Oh, you're real smart. Dismiss voluntarily but without prejudice. So you can just waltz back in here at anytime and start over. I think not Mr. Bankster. Just you try. For 2 years you made us sit and wait and we paid attorneys fees and for doctors to treat us for stress related syndrome....oh you owe us a lot more than $185,000.00. YOu owe us a lot more. Us and the rest of the 99% of us that you thought you could do this to and have us all walking around and saying "duh, wha happened??" sorry charley........we're coming for you. you stepped over the line. I want my $850 billion dollars back, I want my mortgage clear and paid for and clean title and I want health care and I want jobs in solar energy and MOST OF ALL STOP THE WARS, GET OUT OF THE COUNTRIES, THEY DON'T WANT OUR IDEA OF DEMOCRACY...WITH THAT MONEY ALONE WE CAN PAY OFF EVERY PERSON HURT by you in this economic nightmare. While you have been drinking and laughing, while we have been stressed and fighting amongst ourselves, and some, yes some, you bastards, some people even committing suicide, while you have been enjoying yourself we all have come together and we are only getting bigger and stronger. WE DON'T NEED MONEY. We have each other and the truth on our side. We shall overcome and you shall pay for your crimes. There will be a "Nurenbugh" type trial and all of you will be on trial for your lives. You have destroyed us in that you have stolen all of our money but you cannot destroy the one thread we all share and that is caring for one another. That is why we shall win. We care about each other. No greed. Enjoy your last days in power. We are done. I hope this letter is displayed for all to read. I have no fear. What more can you do to me??? Stop my mouth? Stop my writings? You can't stop it. I am just a drop in the 99%. Just a drop. But together we are a mighty force. Give us back our money and our dignity. Give it back. Leslie Elder 33407
Moral Responsibility | 0
Due to greed by banks and their shareholders, all of our lives have changed. I now earn no interest on the money I keep in your bank, and if I opted to use credit, you have tripled my interest rate (therefore I will always pay exactly what I owe). This is my reward for being a loyal customer and handling my money far better than you do. If anything is going to change in this country, you have a moral responsibility to start loaning the money you are sitting on to companies so they can hire people, and so the infrastructure of this country can be repaired and improved on. This is the least you can do considering what you have done to the United States and Europe. Martha 14472

Eliminating my job to temporally increase the dividend on your shareholders' return permenently (in this economy) destroys my income. It destroys the purchases i might have made. That eliminates other peoples' jobs, via the ripples of my decreased, or eliminated spending. When did I stop being your neighbor? When do you decide to take away my humanity and treat me as expendable object (resource)? When did you stop seeing me as a human being? Why do you continue to punish me for not being born to wealthy parents? Why do you contine to be a destroyer of people? Aren't 30 peices of silver enough? Frances Spezio 14620

I have watched you people for 79 years now. The fact is that none of you would be worth a farhing if not for this mighty contenent and all the generations of people who have worked in a hundred different ways to make it a fine place to live. It is hard for me to admit that there are people who would deliberately harm their fellow creatures and most expecially the children merely to hoard money and "things" and power, and to justify such sadism using a god or a market or superior intellegence for a reason. That is not only pitiful but completely wrong. At this point I can find no justification for your phyilosophy, your methods, or your continued existance for you have seriously indangered my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. That is intollerable. Pauline Warren North Ogden, UT 84414

You have practically destroyed our econony and put us all in a precarious position. You have taken the money and run, leaving many of us destitute. You use your wealth for influence-peddling and contribute little to our economy. We are tired of this! Personally, I am doing all I can to get your dirty money out of politics entirely. We need to leave behind this ridiculous plutocracy and restore our democracy, if we can possibly wrest it from your hands. It's way past time for you to demonstrate that you support our democracy and the common good. Sally Thomas Charlotte, NC 28209-4924

making money is not the problem, we all want that. greed and lack of accountability is the problem. the economic crisis was caused by these very things and the people and institutiions responsible refuse to accept their accountibiliy for it. the american people have shown time and again if people in high places own up to their mistakes they will be given another opportunity. when you try to pretend no responsibility we will be coming for you. count on it! You hired robot writers to sign papers that you contrived out of the air. Basicly you stole from the public. You ruined peoples retirement when their funds purchased the mortgages that you knew would fail because that is how you planned it. You set out to rob the working class people of this country and you did. Then when you had pushed the banks over the edge of the cliff you whined for a bailout. Well you got the bailout from the very people you took unfair advantage of......So who is going to pay for your next mistake......not the 99%. Mary 85351

The economic world cannot continue in the manner in which it has become. There is an evolution of the 99% of peoples consciousness that knows of the discrimination against them. It is the turning point and the people who are in the 1% will have to accommodate this change and lose the wealth in favor of the needs of the people. Take heed and evolve now to awaken your consciousness or face the consequences of karma. Share the wealth or lose it! Lloyd Sevigny Montreal, QC H4B 1M1

I am a 99percenter, and I think it is time for Wall Street to pay it fair share of the taxes. It's time to give back the money they got for the bail out and bail out the Middle class and the poor in this country. The free ride is over. The first voie for the bail out fell through. Then Wall Street got it's buddies in Washington to push it through a second vote. Instead of lobbying so much in Washington, start putting the money back into fixing Main Street, if you truly are Americans. Pursuit of Happiness for all!!! Carol Hockeson 12205
Killing the American Dream | 0
It's shameful that after getting bailed out with tax payer money after you've wrecked the economy you're still sitting on most of the money and assets in the country while so many Americans are homeless and don't have enough money to feed their families. You don't have any shame for killing the American Dream. You people, the megarich, are disgusting and have no social conscience. You buy our Congress and your lobbyists write the laws. You negate the votes of the rest of us and are proud of yourselves. We will not forget nor will be be forgiving. Only Warren Buffet and those like him are the decent very rich...the others of you are scum. elizabeth wilkinson satellite beach, FL 32937

It appears to me that you are only interested in pursuing what you believe to be your own self interests. Ultimately, destroying our economy, our environment, our integrity as a great nation is not in your self interest. How can we have a real dialog about this????? Vada Pinto San Leandro, CA 94577
Fat Cats Rule | 0
America has drifted so far from the original dream that the founding fathers must be getting very restless in their graves. Ike warned about the dangers of the country being taken over by the military-industrial complex in January 1960. Unfortunately his fears were far from groundless and this very thing has come to pass. America is now a fascist country run by big business against the interests of the common people and so far in hock to the Chinese that our own government no longer have control over our economy. What a legacy. What a farce. And while the country burns the fat cats sit up there fiddling in their ivory towers. Remember people, when you have destroyed the 99% there will not be anyone else left for you to exploit. Gordon Lamb 17801

Every year stockholders including myself are asked to vote 'for' overly generous compensation packages for CEOs, Boards, and top management. Companies promote the compensation by pointing out that they want to attract and keep the very best. The truth is the packages are way beyond respectible reimbursement for good work and ludicrous for those who perform poorly. If you own stock, vote NO for all management compensation to send a message!! Maybe we can turn the tide. It's time for that money to funnel down to the truly valuable employees and lower end managers who really make companies great!! Ellen Paterno Cutchogue, NY 11935

I am a retiree with a substantial portion of my assets and yearly earnings dependent upon Wall Street performance. That being said though, I am appalled at what is happening to the distribution of wealth in this country. Those people who are in the bottom half of the wealth curve are struggling to keep their jobs, their homes, their children in school, their health care availability, and far too many are either on the streets or cannot put food on the table. Even those like me who are somewhat higher on the wealth curve, have good paying jobs or pensions and sound mortgages are deeply concerned that our financial foundations will crumble and disappear. It is tantamount that changes be made, for our government's sake, for the people it serves, and for the world we all live in. Gary Bea Sunnyvale, CA 94087
