  • YOU HAVE KILLED OUR COUNTRY | 0

I can't say enough about how greedy and heartless you are. There are people starving because of YOU,there are people in pain because of YOU,There are people losing everything because of YOU.The sad thing is YOU just don't get that caring thing like any serial killer.

  • Occupy Wall Street & WE 99%-ers | 0

Let's boil it down--the "OCCUPY" movement spreading all over the WORLD is about "the few" informing and educating "the masses" and "the masses" are now LISTENING!

We in the US must wrest our country free of the banks and return it to THE PEOPLE, WE WHO ARE CALLED UPON TO BAIL OUT THE BANKS with OUR TAX DOLLARS, AFTER THE BANKERS SUCCUMB TO THEIR GAMBLING ADDICTION! Once we have achieved that goal we can NEVER AGAIN LET THE BANKS TAKE OVER OUR COUNTRY!!

TODAY, A WHOPPING 60% OF THE GDP OF THE UNITED STATES IS PRODUCED BY THE BANKING INDUSTRY, and that is a BAD THING! We have no more manufacturing, so now our credit within the worldwide economy is supported by GAMBLING--that's right, GAMBLING--the GAMBLING ACTIVITIES of our Wall-Street BANK-STERS! This fact makes them the new de-facto KINGS (and primo sociopaths) of the USA!! I cannot speak for you, but that thought does not comfort me when I try to sleep at night.

My ancestors have already fought and DIED in our revolution against the rule of kings, and now we find ourselves with no more manufacturing. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN, you ask? DE-REGULATION IS HOW, starting with "Mr Wonderful," Ronald Reagan.

It is time for us to lobby for the return to TIGHT REGULATION of Wall Street's investment houses and banks, it is time to RE-separate them, and to tax speculative investments at the time of purchase, and to do anything else required to reduce the enormous-to-the-point-of-vulgar TOTAL-ANNUAL-COMPENSATION packages of ALL EXECUTIVES and MANAGERS to a reasonable scale (say 20:1), when compared with the annual total compensation of sub-management employees!

As an alternative, we could simply tax the Wall Street executives and profiteers 50% of their TOTAL ANNUAL COMPENSATION (50% was the going rate for Capital Gains in the late '60s).

The renewed regulations must apply to ALL investment managers, officers, and CEOs, whether working for hedge-funds, banks, or the new "hybrid" firms permitted since de-regulation.

It is also time to for President Obama to "lose" the Wall-Street-friendly advisors surrounding him and accept the sage guidance of Elizabeth Warren. As an aside, I have never heard 2 words from Timothy Geitner that were NOT double-talk--he is SO accustomed to ACTING LIKE "the smartest man in the room" that he doesn't even TRY to make sense--there is no reality there AT ALL!

Thank you, ALL, for reading my rant. Please take it to heart and use it to make a positive difference. You just need to know that we voters keep tabs on how our legislators vote, and on that basis we WILL decide whom to re-elect--2010 WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!

  • Get out of our Government! | 0

We will remove every dime of private money from our elections. We will remove OUR money from your banks and your stock market. The end is here, no longer will you use my 401(k) account as "capital" for your grand global gambling scam. You can use your money for your sick plans to steal our country from US.

  • Occupy the Boardroom! | 0

When a person buys a house applied for a loan for a mortgage for $300,000, after many payments the amount of you owed the bank is $235,125.00 to refinance the bank won't start with the amount you owed the bank, you have to start from scratch, you should be able to refinace for the amount you owed not for the amount you first applied for the loan. The banks always win customers always loose. Also banks treated the customers like our money is not worth anything.

  • We bailed you out and you say we're whinging?! | 0

We bailed you out and you say we're whinging?!
You presented to us that you would not survive if we did not bail you out. But you used our hardearned money to give yourselves huge unconscionable bonuses. I want to see these people in a court of law for deceiving the American people and the American Government, duping us all to believe that you had to have, needed, all of this bail out money or else, but it wasn't the truth, because you have not put that bail out money to good use, only to line your fat pockets with it and it is a disgrace. Shame on you. Enough.
We the people want our bail out money back thank you, we're calling back the loan. Pay up time, sell your Louby, your ferrari, mercedes, whatever it is, the 3rd, 4th house in west palms golden mile or elsewhere. We the people are calling back in our loan and we want it replaced, put back into the treasury immediately, without delay, NOW. We the people will put that money to good use. You all have proven that you will just sit on it, but we won't we will use it, to make loans to small vendors, to buy a cart, or to shore up bridges or mends roads and bridges to put people back to work, a whole myriad of ideass we all can collectively come up with, by the people for the people. Not by the bankers for the bankers (Financier etc).
So don't whinge about it just pay up big time.

    Enough.

  • Occupy the Boardroom! | 0

It's extraordinary that not one bank executive went to prison for lying, stealing, or for helping to wreck the economy. I call bankers bankists. Occupy Wall Street is a group of individuals both young and old, 15 different unions, and interested people. It's a movement that's traveled across the country, and isn't going away. Hats off to all of them.

  • Fed Up - Wanting a new system | 0

I am fed up with Bank of America and other big Wall Street banks underwriting dirty coal and wrecking our climate. I am fed up with the inordinate political influence exerted by the richest of the rich. I am fed up with the lack of decent jobs for the 99% while fat cats get massive bonuses. I am fed up with Wall Street and other corporate firms (oligarchy) destroying our lives and not having to face any legal consequences.

I propose we (the people) make all contributions to politicians illegal and implement real consequences if someone steps over the line. There will be a "watchdog", public financing of political campaigns, term limits, and congress put under Medicare, Social Security and a 403b plan. There will be no more "career" politicians.

The above is succinctly described by the aphorism, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely." We must end "business as usual" soon!

  • Student loan debt | 0

This issue most affecting me is student loan debt. Student loan forgiveness will mobilize an educated population and help the economy recover. Furthermore, higher education should be free for anyone who qualifies. That would lead to a meritocracy. It would make all universities more competitive. Governments should fund students who need aid so students can attend any school they can compete in.

You owe the tax payers that bailed you out by giving loans to new start up small businesses, lowering interest rates on school loans, working with those that have mortgage problems, not hiding costs to consumers in small print,or out sourcing american jobs ,by paying decent wages to workers and giving them decent ,healthy and safe working conditions.
These are just a few of the things that a moral business would do.

  • It is time for you to act! | 0

You say you don't understand what OccupyWallStreet wants -- perhaps it is because you are not listening. Let me tell you -- we are tired of no jobs, corporate greed, no healthcare, healthcare we can't afford, student loans we can't pay, attempts to dismantle unions, dumping on teachers, firemen, policemen and public workers, foreclosures, the raiding of our pension funds, the polluted environment, oil dependence, to name a few. We are tired of you calling us mobs, ragtag hippy people who need to just go and get a job or sit down and shut up. You can foreclose our homes but you can't foreclose our minds and our voices. You have opened Pandora's Box and we have flown out and you won't put us back. You can buy off our legislators but WE THE PEOPLE hired them, not you the corporations, and we intend to get them out of your pockets.

I'm sick and tired of you always getting away with not paying your taxes, while the rest of Americans are paying too much.

Invest in green energy & USA energy independence (think Pickens Plan)! Lobby Congress to mandate / create the market demand (by requiring, for example, solar panels on & electric car hookups in all new homes) to clinch the argument for serious investment now in fossil fuel alternative R & D, & to speed rolling out the results of that into marketing & production.

Sponsor education initiatives too-- K thru 12 thru post-graduate work / research-- your companies & our country need smart people to work in & manage them now & in the future! And don't forget arts education-- cutting-edge innovation springs most from a lifetime habit of thinking creatively (remember the mavericks of Silicon Valley). What goes around comes around!

nice to have more than you could ever use, however we all die, if we were all as greedy and self-serving; the place we all call home would be an ugly place to live, dangerous too. better to make the world a nice place to live. some of the most wonderful people in the world are poor, get a life and make the world a nice place to live, that is true success!
