We went to Syracuse today to Occupy Wall Street. We've had many friends lose large portions of their retirement and their health plans because of wall streets shenanigans. Bankers who were responsible for these raiding of pensions funds, lives ruined because of bad investments by bankers, These bankers need to go to prison, not be bailed out. june MacArthur 13126

Why is it that you profited from the housing bubble till you brought the banking system to the brink of failure got a bailout and rewards in the millions of dollars while doing that? I was originally for bailout because I thought once the banks were stabilized we could begin rebuilding America. Instead the working class is giving up more and you are taking it. You can buy congress and perhaps the White House and even some of the people but you will continue to bring the wrath of the working class on yourselves and the politicians you support. There will be a day or reckoning. Dan Cobb Sacramento, CA 95826

I'm depressed and horrified by the disintegration of values that Wall St, the banks and the CEOs have demonstrated. And I truly don't understand how you have ignored the potential of a healthy middle class that has been proven to be vital to a nation's over all health. I've been an executive and I know that many people don't understand the responsibility and challenges that kind of position brings. However, what has happened over the last two years has far exceeded any recompense due those positions. You have not only disenfranchised the middle class, you have created a swelling surge of anger that is picking up speed and can only result in massive conflict and outbreaks of violence in the end. I suppose that you feel protected by the dollars you've accumulated but ultimately even that won't help. You are destroying America's future, not just for the 99%, but for your own children by your greed and indifference. We have entered into a new age, taking a quantum leap in how people think and I personally have seen schools around the country where students have little or no equipment at all to move forward, to develop their potential and the possibilities for this nation to thrive. With current conditions, who do you think will be able to buy the products made by the corporations you fund? How will those goods be transported when infrastructure is crumbling and we are now near the bottom with high speed Internet? Who will be capable due to education and basic needs met. of creating the solutions that we will need to go forward? Who will buy American products when they can buy products from other countries that will be better? Who will be depositing money in banks, except for yourselves and foreign investors and once the latter investments exceed yours? In the end, who will serve you in your homes when they're sick and malnourished and resentful? Perhaps, you're operating in part out of your own fear, because you do see the writing on the wall. The greatest challenges we face today is the acceleration of change, the poison of what we eat and drink and breath; and the lack of support for collective creativity. The kind of creativity that is responsible for the very things that you buy and wish to have in your homes and business. Products that your families use. We've turned back in time in every sector, when it's obvious that what once may have worked, is no longer valid. The system is crumbling and the harder we attempt to shore up or return to what once worked, the faster we'll fall. You're short sighted, and by no means, visionaries. The price to be paid for all this will not leave you untouched. I hope that at some point you will begin to understand and act on the fact that we are connected and that we need each other to survive and prosper. Currently, I see little, if anything to indicate that your eyes are being opened. I find myself unable to end this with a time honored 'with respect', but sign it instead with Sincerely, Sharon Crespi Sharon Crespi Arlington, WA 98223

Thousands of protesters have been occupying Wall Street for the past several weeks to take their demands for social and economic justice directly to the richest 1% of Americans — the very folks who are benefiting most from the inequality in our system while the other 99% of us face endless layoffs, fee hikes, stagnant wages, and climate change bankrolled by Wall Street. We can’t all be camped out in Zuccotti Park, so we are sending messages directly to the CEOs and board members of the top financial institutions in the world. Life sure is tough for those at the top. It must get awful lonely. So we thought to ourselves -- what could we do so you don't feel so alone? So you know there's somebody out there thinking of you. This is my message to them. Rosemary Rogers Athens, OH 45701-3661

The thousands of people protesting today represent many, many more of us who are equally fed up with the greed, lack of interest in your clients, and ineptness that you have shown. Lori Vest Mamoth Lakes, CA 93546

You haved used cronyism and corruption to tall most of the worlds wealth. Does this really make you any happier. Give back the wealth and protect what belongs to us all, a healthy environment. Only giving to others will make you really happy inside. James Shelton Richmond, VA 23236

I am amazed with the reality of the discrepancy that exist between the rich and poor. I was born in 1954 and cannot believe that our great nation has become so divided; power and wealth the culprit. This is not just about me wanting MY FAIR SHARE but it is more about everyone having a fair share in what is right and justly theirs. We do not need a socialistic society just a society that is honest. Where did our values go? Why do we, THE LITTLE GUY, have to pay for the mistakes of wall street, and the mistakes of big corporations. Please look into you heart and see what God is speaking to you in that place. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of those that are suffering because some people were so greedy that they took more than they gave and now it is time to pay up! We the 99% are standing up against the fat cats that have left us no other choice but to raise our voices and fight back. Enough is enough. Soon, I will lose my house, but not my dignity! More power to the 99%!! United we stand... Angelina Petrovic Ft Myers, FL 33919

My father was a financier. He died in 1997. I think he would be ashamed and heartbroken had he lived to see what the financial world has turned into. Thanks to him, I've always lived comfortably, but I've devoted my life to serving those who have to struggle. I stand with the 99%. Louise Lynch 06371

Dear Top Executive/Board Member, I won't waste your time with the details of my story because I doubt that printed words can convey to you the very different reality that I share with the rest of the 99%. Therefore, I invite you and your family/colleagues to spend several days with us to let the reality of our lives sink into your consciousness. I don't believe that you are a "bad" person, but I do believe that you help perpetuate a "bad" system which has very real consequences that you are sheltered from. You need to make the effort to understand us. This is not a game in which winner takes all. This is real life. Sincerely, Kathe Hertzberg Kathe Hertzberg 10705

No one belongs to the 1% without being quite intelligent in many ways. I invite you to slightly shift your intelligence in such a way that it would consider ways to include the other 99%. It is time for us all to come together to identify the solutions that would make life more rewarding, where together we may find ways to celebrate all that is truly marvellous about being human. In other words the time has come to be fully human and we cannot do that without your participation, your intelligence, your humanity. I assure you that what you have to gain is something that all your wealth and privilege combined can never acquire, the privilege of playing a key role in redefining what it means to be human. Think about it and let us know. Dwight Smith montreal, QC 12345

Quality of life | 0
You think that the quality of your life depends on your ability to control and to have more money than you know what to do with all at the expense of others. Be very careful. Life is like a boomerang. Whatever you throw out into the universe will surely come back and hit you in the face. You may get away with a lot at this time but you WILL be held responsible for every action at some point. The law of Karma is real. The real quality of life comes from what you have given to help others and to surrender to the cosmic consciousness. You are blind to truth and I am very sad for you. Dear Mr. Big Wall Street Banker: When you participated in bundling mortgages into CDOs that were made up of all kinds of mortgages - good, bad and indifferent, and when you obtained positive AAA ratings from the bond rating agencies for CDOs that did not deserve such ratings, and when you outsourced your risk by buying Credit Default Swaps you thought you were safe but you thought nothing about the fact that you placed the entire economy in jeopardy when those mortgages failed to be paid for whatever reasons. You helped cause our country to go into a severe credit tailspin that we are still coming out of. Millions lost their jobs and the capitalist system, which we live under, has not yet recovered even though we have the lowest interest rates in 70 years. With all the outsourcing of jobs that has occurred the last 30 years that has emasculated out manufacturing sector and the credit crisis that you caused, the economy still has not recovered. Even the best economists and financiers don't know when this will happen. The domino effect of people losing jobs and then their homes has cascaded every year so the housing sector of the market cannot recover. It is time you bankers took responsibility for your part in this crisis by coming up with a plan to help all home owners who are under water who cannot pay their mortgages and reduce interest rates and principals so this sector of the economy can recover. President Obama is trying with exports and rejuvenating the manufacturing sector to do this but your help is also needed to revive the housing sector so we can pull ourselves out of this black hole. e.
