You're greed is destroying this country | 0
Personally I faired better than most from the economic effects of your meltdown of 08 but even so, through no fault of my own, I lost all the equity I'd built up in my home over the past decade as well as losing my home business due to a complete elimination of consumer buying power from the crash. Combine this with the unfair trade practices of flooding the US market with cheap imports from overseas leaves me to wonder if I can ever recover at manufacturing a quality product at a fair price for sale in this country. Obviously you have no ethics toward economic fairness or loyalty to American workers and American businesses or even the future of your own businesses as shown by the catastrophic risks you took which required us tax-payers to bail you out. Too big to fail won't work if it happens again as you can surely see looking out your windows or on TV at the 99% protesters. Even then I fear you'd just take your millions in bonuses and pensions then lay off all your employees and lock the doors behind you. Hey, as long as you continue to live the good life, why should you care right? Well maybe someday you'll realize the errors of your ways when you and your descendents end up living in fear of your lives every day from the masses of broken, destitute Americans you created that lie between you and anything outside your privately guarded estate walls. You may not pay for your crimes to humanity now, but there just may be a special place in hell for you and your kind to spend eternity. Ken Hill 97501

You mismanaged a trust that was given to you and when notified of that instead of looking into it you said call a lawyer. We did and you still were able to cheat us out of our money using stall tactics until we could no longer afford to fight you. Shame on you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CJ Adler 90405
this was your doing.... | 0
I don't know how you people sleep at night knowing that the economic problems we face today were largely caused by your "gambling" with peoples life's, their homes, their future. We did not cause this mess, yet we're the ones taking the hardest hit. Many are still out of work, fighting to keep their homes, and struggling to put food on the table. By no choice of ours, we bailed you out. You are making record profits while the country still can't recover from your mess, Now it's turn to do your part. Loan money again, hire here instead of overseas. What good is it to have it all? This is the country that gave you every opportunity you've had. tracy mcdonald 07760

REGULATION | 0
One can always say the "bad guys" will find ways to get around any regulations. OK. So, we'll enact more rules when we see what ways they find! But to just remove all the regulations or stop enforcing and regulating? Insane! And that is where we stand today! We should hire thousands more FBI for trade regulations enforcement because that's what it will take, or in a few years, we'll have a crash that will make the "Great Depression" look mild in comparison.Your Action Content janice blodgett 33428
You know the feeling?? | 0
Dear Sir, I am professional, a manager, like you. I go to the office in suits, as I am sure you do. I work for large organizations with international reach and scope, just like you. I am an American and I graduated from a good private liberal arts university with a Bachelors degree. I am working on my Masters because I want a better life, just like you. I lost my job October last year I have been working contract to contract ever since. I am 9 days away from being unemployed. This last contract was full-time for three months, which was really nice, but it threw me out of the social security net. So now I'll have to enrol all over again, and I am sure you know what a pain in the neck that is! I am the breadwinner in our little family. My husband (who holds a masters degree) has been looking for a job for years, but he's also been taking care of our daughter. It is a catch 22... a second income would be a huge help, but then there's the issue of affording child care! I'm sure you know how hard it is to find good quality and good value child care. We have a nice little place but the rent is pretty high considering our situation. We can't leave because no one will give us a new place without a firm long-term employment contract. This makes saving almost impossible. I know you know what that is like. We also spend an awful lot on our health insurance. I know you and I are lucky enough to have it but it is hard when it eats more than 12% of what you bring in each month, right? Well, I have to go back to my inbox and I am sure you do too. Take care and remember that we're not so different. It is just that you are rolling in a disproportionate amount of money and the rest of us are trying to make ends meet with the little that's left for us. Share. Care. Thanks. Emily Blitz 07920-3418

EVEN SOMETIME WILL BE PROBABLY DIFFICULT PAY WITH CASH BUT TILL THE SYSTEM NOT CHANGE THIS IS THE RIGHT CHOICE AND HOPE PEOPLE WILL FOLLOW US. WITHOUT OUR MONEY IN TIME WILL REALIZE THAT THEY EXISTENCE DEPEND ON US SMALL PEOPLE NOT JUST ON THE RICH. Gabor Lettner 90069
Scam by Bank of America | 0
Several years ago I received an unsolicited call from BofA offering me cash to put in my checking account at 0%. After some cajoling I accepted $500. When I got my first bill, the interest rate was 25% and a late fee was added. I went straight to a B of A branch and sat for two hours. The late fee was waived. I went over to the teller and immediately paid the balance off. Two days later the previous month's bill arrived . Had that bill come first I would have had the promised 0% rate! Aaron Libson 19141
The Rewards of a Lifetime of Blood, Sweat & Tears Down the Drain | 0
My parents both came from poor families and never got beyond high school. My mom worked in a factory while dad fought in WWII. Dad came home and got factory work. When I was a child, my dad worked 2 full-time jobs, one was 40 hrs/wk and the other was about 56 hrs/wk. Mom went back to work when I was about 10, and dad stopped the one job so he could farm. My family only had 2 vacations during my 18 yrs at home. One was a camping/fishing trip; neither were fancy or expensive by any standards. Point is my parents worked their entire lives, living within their means and saving every penny they could for their old age, since they were both raised during the great depression! My dad died in 1993 from a heart attack, WHILE AT WORK. And mom continued to live a meager life. And then Wall Street falls, due to rampant greed and overpaid executives. Mom lost more than half her lifetime of savings, and may end up broke, and in a nursing home after a life of blood, sweat and tears from both her and dad. That is WRONG, and the greed on Wall Street is responsible! She worries about having enough money all the time, and does without simple comforts she should have, just because more than half of her money is gone. Puff, just disappeared... into your pockets! Your GREED has taken away her security and stability in her golden years! I hope you think of what you've done to her, and the millions of others, EVERY time you look in the mirror. I hope you lie awake at night, like my mother does, and feel the guilt of what you've done to so many people in this world!!! You should give all your ill-gotten money back to the people you ripped off, and PRAY that God forgives you! Because I DON'T!!! You HURT my MOTHER, and millions of other people! There are names for people like you, but I won't say them. You SHOULD be ASHAMED, but you're probably not because you're too busy thinking of how you can spend all the stolen money! I hope you get it spent in this lifetime, because you can't spend it in HELL! Gregory Crawford 46815
We lost 1/2 of our savings | 1
We were told it was the best and safest way to save for retirement. So we had the maximum amount taken out of our weekly paychecks for our 401(k)'s, started Roth IRA's, when I left Xerox I had one choice: Roll over your 401(k) into an IRA or be subject to fines and fees that would kill my savings. So I rolled it over. Your reckless behavior caused us to lose over half of our original savings. We couldn't take it out. So we watched, helplessly as it all disappeared. You got Bailed out! Took all the money for yourselves. Threw lavish parties. Put more money in your own coffers and not one dime back into our IRA's! All of you should be in jail for what you have done to our economy, our savings, the mortgages we must now pay on homes that aren't worth what we are paying...etc. We stand with Occupy Wall St. You broke it! You own it! You FIX it! Janet Zaso 22701

Citibank profits | 0
When I see so many people out of work and struggling to make ends meet, I am shocked to hear that Citibank and the other Wall street banks and large corporations are making incredible profits. I can only assume that you are either greedy beyond imagination or simply don't care at all about yout country or your countrymen. Shame on you. I hope you get what you deserve. No, actually I hope you search your consciences and recognize that profit is not the only goal in life... thare is such a thing as honor, dignity, and compassion. Beyhan Trock 20814
Inheritance Lost | 0
In 2006 my son lost his job and his marriage in the same week. To help him out I used an inheritance to buy him a condo in Seattle. I put 50% down , $135,000 which I had inherited from my mother. "Who ever lost money in real estate in Seattle?" I thought. In 2010 I had it appraised for refinancing. I needed an additional $12K to reach the minimum. In only 4 years I had lost almost the entire inheritance. With an interest only balloon mortgage I now have 2 years to sell or refinance. Thank you for making my retirement so stressful. Enjoy your bonuses. Stuart Fleishman 17554
Fiscal Responsibility & Financial Culpability | 0
Acknowledging your responsibility to your stockholders to maintain the viability of your institutions, doesn't it work against your very mission that you would so abuse those who deposit money, invest in your instutition and borrow from you allowing longterm growth through interest charged? You should be aware that people will find alternatives to the abuse you have heaped upon them? They will find institutions that treat them as partners working together to build and strengthen communities, not rape them. When they do, the "walls will come tumbling down!" Broken system | 0
We feel asleep and allowed unbridled greed to take over our country. The 1% own our political system and the banks have used our money for their own benefit. I've seen this happening for the past 2 decades and have been waiting for this moment of rebellion. The time has come for popular democracy and shared prosperity. Nothing can stop it. It is a revolution in thought and we will evolve into a new system. Darry Staff 92651

As someone who graduated from college in 1971 I have lived my entire adult life against a backdrop of economic turmoil brought on by the military industrial complex and the corporatists that own and operate our government. At age 62 I can no longer delude myself that the "American Dream" will ever become a reality for me. I only hope that for the young people it will not continue to be the "American Nightmare" Joseph Glaston 92240

The 99%, The 21st Century voice of America | 0
If there is ever a time when people are really fed-up and are losing all faith, hope and trust in business leaders especially those on Wall Street is in this 21st Century. For too long many big companies at Wall Street have been taking away the very salt of our earthly economy. And this is the very essence that holds the flavor of real freedom and Democracy for the people. Now it has been replaced with greed, selfishness, unaccountability, irresponsibility, and unequal share sacrifices. And because of all this, many millions of Americans are now without a job. Many in the 99% of Americans have watched their dream just washed away. And those of us who still fortunate enough to be hanging on to our job live in fear that one day we too can find ourselves living the same nightmare of not having a job. We are calling on Wall Street to make a different and change nightmares in dreams taking full responsibility, accountability and pay their fair share of sacrifice to help the ailing economy. The 99% is the 21st Century voice of America and will forever stand firm and strong until real and honest Democracy with share sacrifice become the essence of our Country. May God bless the 99%, the 1% and America in general. We are one people, one Nation and one United States of America. Elizabeth Taylor 94553
Wall Street Rapid trading | 0
Stop the rapid stock market trading inequities. It puts the 98 percent of individual Stock Market investors at an impossible disadvantage and with that me and all my friends have lost tens of thousands of dollars in the stock market. Let us get back to investing for the long term in good American Companies before the unethical executives arrived on wall Street using computer technology to gain an unfair advantage and garnish billions of dollars from the 98 percent individual investors. It deeply concerns me that the conservatives want to gut the EPA, health programs for the poor and middle class, programs for independent living for elders and people with disabilies, labor laws, child labor lawsand many of the landmark legislation that has helped clean up and protect our people and country. I can honestly say, after examining the ramifications of repealing and removing these laws and programs, and it would result in a public health crisis of enormous proportions. This would be a situation that would be trickle UP instead of trickle down. It would create such a crisis in the end that even the top 1 or 2 percent could not insulate themselves. Disease would become rampant, instead of a peaceful "Occupy Wall Sstreet" it would become angry violent mobs, our infrestructure for transport of goods and services would decay and become impassable, crime would increase and our country would become a nasty violent backwater that no one would want to live, even the most wealthy. Consider these programs to educate, provide education and jobs, provide health care, assist in housing, and provide for our people in old age and while disabled an investment in your living. It helps everyone. People are not without jobs because the are lazy, or do not want to help themselves, but there is no work, or very little. They want to work, and get the rewards that are due them. Its only fair, and right. Franklin D.Rosavelt set these things up iniatally, not to "take from the rich" but to invest in our country to make it a reasonable place for ALL to live in. I want to thank you for taking time to read this and thinking about it. You must remember, at some point you or one of your ancesters received a "leg up" to make it to where you are now. Be greatful and pass it on, it helps YOU in the lomg run. Abigail Howes 02779
