     Have you NO SHAME!
Not only are you and yours getting out of paying your fair share of federal income taxes, but you want to steal the pay of your employees too!
May you contact brain cancer from your shitty product.

  • Pay your taxes! | 0

    To: Lowell C McAdam, Verizon
My Jitterbug phone uses Verizon. I pay the bill with my union pension money. My last union job was only for seven years so I only get $356 per month. But, along with my husband's small pension, we pay our taxes!

Imagine how much less money Verizon will get from us Jitterbuggy pensioners if we have to keep paying YOUR taxes!

You must lower the prices of your products and services! As a customer for over 6 years I deserve better service and cheaper products than I am now.

  • The shame of it all--Your customers pay taxes, so should Verizon | 0

    To: Lowell C McAdam, Verizon
I am a retired proudly union employee of USWest---before it was taken over by such shysters as Nacchio and Qwest and now Century Link. When Verizon became the wireless provider in place of Qwest, I trusted your company to be upstanding citizens but alas, you seem to be in the minority of taxpayers in this great land. You are the 1%, I am one of the hardworking 99%. Show you truly care about this country and pay your fair share of taxes

  • unethical business practices | 1

To: John G Stumpf, Wells Fargo
I do not support your investment in private for profit prisons. As an advocate for immigration reform I find your business model of creating laws to fill those prisons--even when it means separating families!-unethical and vulgar. I will not use your bank for any of my business and will spread the word to others concerning your business practices. Please reconsider your business model and divest from private prisons.

  • Fair wages and benefits for Verizon employees | 0

    To: Lowell C McAdam, Verizon
Lowell C McAdam: I am asking you to consider fair and honest negotiations with your employee's. People that are paid a good wage and benefit package will work that much harder and appreciate their job that much more. Working for a company that makes huge profits and pays no federal tax is hard to swallow for employees that ask for fair treatment, how about it sir? I would like to remain a Verizon customer, please do the right thing!

  • Sinaloa Cartel | 0

To: John G Stumpf, Wells Fargo
I've seen it claimed that a drug bust a few years ago netted financial records of the Sinaloa drug cartel, which showed that over a recent period of several years, Wachovia Bank- now one of your divisions- laundered for them $385 billion; and further that when found out, a fine of less that 1% of that amount was levied, no further investigation or prosecution was undertaken, and no admission of wrongdoing was required. Is that true? And if so, do you not expect the 99% to seek other economic forms, a means of cooperation that is effective not corrupt?

the billions you are making in profit would not be possible without your front line workers. the better/fairer you treat them, the more they will put out for you and the more support you will get from the public/99%.

  • What's up? | 0

To: Thomas J. (Tom) Tauke, Verizon
    Hi Tom!

EVP of Public Affairs, Policy, and Communications... that sounds like a position with hands in the lobbying industry. It also sounds like a position for someone who's concerned about the direction of the country.

From one Tom to another, the direction of the country isn't good at all. Why are people going crazy? Well, you know as well as I do - jobs. There aren't very many. There especially aren't many good ones. It might not be long before we're all selling each other big macs, am I right?

What we need to break this cycle: Decent jobs. A well-funded education system. You agree - I know it. But what I wonder is, what are you doing? Tom, is Verizon paying it's taxes like I am? Is Verizon protecting decent jobs or chipping away at them?

The thing about cycles, particularly destructive ones, is that they loop around. They work their way back to where they started. So, instead of Verizon injecting healthy money into government through taxes, it's injecting unhealthy money through lobbying, and that's not good. It's like feeding someone diet pills instead of food. I'm not saying the government couldn't stand to lose weight, get leaner, healthier, but, and I think you'll agree with me here, I'd prefer a chubby government to a bulimic, diseased, insane government.

I'm glad we can communicate like this, Tom, and I hope you'll think about what I've said here. Like, what would be a healthy relationship between Verizon and the government? And that's something I know you'd want.

    Thanks!
    Tom

  • You Are What You Do | 0

To: Thomas J. (Tom) Tauke, Verizon
We become known by our actions, so please make the right choice. Money is nothing without justice. Taxes are the price we pay for civilization. All I suggest is that your company do what is best for America, and pay taxes appropriately compared to other costs, such as lobbying. Thank you,

  • Responsibility and accepting ones responsibilities | 0

    To: John Doherty, Verizon
There is a serious problem in a world and society that applauds M Romney when he publicly seeks approbation for declaring that he pays less tax than the people working in his various offices. Those that have the means to pay taxes should be grateful they are in that position and should be willing to pay their fair share. I don`t think it`s asking too much for those with a greater share of the nations wealth to pay at least the same amount as the less advantaged. That is what defines REAL democracy. Being allowed to take advantage of those with less money, less ability, less connections is not democracy. Conscience should dictate what you, and those in your category of lifestyle, should do. I sincerely hope your conscience is more active than appears to be the accepted standard of the 1% who have and control the vast majority of the world`s wealth. yours sincerely

    To: Lowell C McAdam, Verizon
Look, you benefit from doing business here in the US. You've got lots of available workers, lots of customers, and everything you need to sell your product.

You owe something back for all that. Pay your taxes. Treat your employees with respect. Unless you want all of your customers to switch to... say... metro pcs?

    To: Robert L Joss, Citigroup
I think it is time for Citigroup to take pride. To pay good wages and to pay a full share of income taxes. Offshore holdings are just an evasion of corporate responsibility. Isn't it time to act with some conscience.

  • Former Customer, Current Anti-Wells Fargo Activist | 1

To: John G Stumpf, Wells Fargo
Time and time again Wells Fargo found ways to push me away as a customer, from a rude customer service associate to never having a fraudulent transaction on my credit card solved. My current bank has never had an issue with anything of the sort. Because of the mistreatment I helped all the members in my family, my friends, and colleagues close their accounts.

Pay your fair share of taxes. Stop trying to destroy the middle class, these are the people who provide the labor.
These are the people who provide the service. These people, Verizon employees are not the paper pushes at the top of the food chain making millions. I am a Verizon customer, but I can change that status and so can many of my family members.I suggest you give credit where credit is do--to the worker who provides those services to your customers.

Americans like the ability for people to make profits. For everyone to have the opportunity to succeed financially. But (all but the 1%) don't think it is right when companies or individuals make unreasonable profits.

  • Imagine a fairer world; you can help make it happen! | 1

To: Thomas J. (Tom) Tauke, Verizon
Although CWA and IBEW members have returned to the bargaining table, Verizon still has not agreed to a fair contract for its 45,000 union workers. From 2008-2010 Verizon did not pay any federal corporate income taxes, despite billions in profits. Mr. Tauke, you can afford to support the middle class jobs of your workers; please take care of that!

  • Bank of What? | 2

To: Brian T Moynihan, Bank of America
Did you know that your practices have earned your bank the nickname of Bank of Apartheid? I personally use that moniker because Bank of America is no name for an institution that at every turn rips off every American national it can. You don't have to be this way. Change can start today, and the people at the top embracing better practices can go a long way towards the citizenry trusting your institution again. I may never leave my credit union in favor of a for profit only bank, but my opinion of such places can certainly be altered; if only the banking world could ever do the right thing.
