Lets get this contract done It has been months the unions went back to work because you were going to bargin in good faith you have not. Your so lucky that they went back to work before Irene hit if they were still out you would have been screwed. I wish they stayed out. You continue to treat your employees like garbage. I read all your adds when the strike was going on everything you said you give your employees is what you want to take away you didn't tell the public that part did you. What did you spend on all those adds? That would have paid all your employees their yearly pay.

Be fair with your workers, you would not be where you are without them. They have as much right to a fair wage as you do. You work hard and they work hard. You both need to be treated fairly.

  • As a Verizon bigshot, it is your responsibility to do something! | 0

    To: Robert (Bob) Mudge, Verizon
    Hi Robert,

2 things: I think it is really awful the way you are practicing tax evasion. I say this in the most polite way I can. Also, please consider negotiating with those lovely people (who pay their taxes) in the Union! As soon as my 2 year contract is up with Verizon, I will be finding another cell phone provider to do business with. Thank you for proving to me that you have no interest in making America a better place, or treating your employees fairly, so I can take my business elsewhere! All the best wishes, for a quick recovery of your moral sensibilities.

    Sir

This is 2012 and it is no longer business as usual. Now, more than ever you and your actions are under the microscope. I, a distant customer, am watching you. I am waiting to see if you will negotiate a fair deal with 45,000 employees. I am waiting to see if you will pay your fair share of taxes.

I urge you to do so and become a company of integrity.

  • Do the right thing...please | 0

    To: Lowell C McAdam, Verizon
    Dear Lowell:

The tide is turning in this country and companies such as Verizon are poised to feel the impact. Fair is fair, and corporations such as yours should not receive special treatment regarding taxes.

As the President and CEO of Verizon, you are in a unique position to communicate the gravity of this situation to your board and fellow executives. Tell them what is at stake. Although I am not a shareholder, I am a customer of 10+ plus years. While I love Verizon's coverage, I will take my business elsewhere if your organization continues to engage in unethical practices. Please help Verizon rediscover it's moral compass.

    Sincerely,

    To: Lowell C McAdam, Verizon
Have you no end to your greed? People who struggle to pay your ridiculous high cell phone bills pay more tax than you do. How can you sleep at night? PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE! An extra 15% of your income wouldn't even make a dent in your life but could make a difference in many others.

To: Brian T Moynihan, Bank of America
Hey...I dodge taxes fairly well, and I lobby for some things. So, I understand the motivation.

But don't you think Bank of America needs to fine-tune its public image about those two? Preferably, that would flow from some significant changes in your corporate behavior on those two action areas.

  • How did JP Morgan get started? | 0

To: Jamie Dimon, Partnership for NYC
Well, I think the initial capital came from the SLAVE TRADE. turns out that the Wall at Wall street was not only to keep the Indians off the land but also was the spot for the slave market. Turns out, the world trade center is built on an African grave yard. Isn't that interesting?
Anyway, I was thinking ... get this ... What if JP Morgan paid, like guhzillions of dollars in cash to all the Africans in the world? You know, because it's like a debt that JP Morgan owes. So there's like, a moral obligation there. See what I mean?

  • Contract for Verizon workers | 1

    To: Lowell C McAdam, Verizon
Fairness and justice require you to negotiate a decent contract with your workers. A sine qua non of democracy is workers' right to join a union and have that union represent them in negotiating wages and benefits, etc. You do not have the moral right to break the union and to push your workers into a situation where they are voiceless and must accept whatever your are willing to pay regardless of the incredible amounts of money your workers make for you and the company. Your way is a race to the bottom. Unions ensure that workers work with dignity and just compensation. That way, both the company and workers will thrive.

To: John G Stumpf, Wells Fargo
If the middle class (your customers) don't have jobs, and pay all the taxes, who's going to buy your product? Pay your fair share and help keep people working. I'm one of your customers, but I don't deal with the greedy.

  • lost sight........ | 0

To: Lloyd C Blankfein, Partnership for NYC
Years ago, while being trained as bartender in the finacial district of Boston, Skip my trainer told me that the best tippers and most respectful customers were those on the lower rungs. He said that the higher the level the more disrespecftul the attitude and that they were less generous as well. Skip felt that the higher they went the more likely that they have lost sight of where they came from. Skip was right on the money...........
